AAF - American Armor Foundation - Tank Museum - Introduction/Overview
Danville, VA's AAF Tank Museum is the best US armor museum I know of. It has a nice collection of tanks, APCs, artillery, etc. It has “120 Tanks & Artillery pieces… 150 Machine Guns, Mortars, Flame Throwers, Recoilless Rifles, Rocket Launchers, etc… 65 small arms,” uniforms, dioramas, toys, etc. Tanks include various Shermans and American Cold War heavies that dwarf the M-26 Pershing, Panzer IV, Sexton, M-3, M-5, M-18, M-8, M-47, M-48, M-55, M-60, M-103, Soviet T-34, T-54, T2S3, T-72, Sweden’s STRV-74, M-1917 (Renault FT), etc. For now, here are some of the AAF - American Armor Foundation - Tank Museum's tanks, SPGs, artillery, etc. in photos.
